Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must be reachable for appointment from the current Civil Service eligible list for the title

OR

Transfer: Candidates must have permanent competitive status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.

Provisional: In the event that there is not a valid eligible list, candidates who meet the following promotion qualifications may be qualified for a provisional appointment. To qualify, candidates must have one year as an Office Assistant 1; or one year of permanent service in a clerical or keyboarding title allocated to Grade 5 or higher.
If you are appointed provisionally, you must take the next scheduled Civil Service examination for this title and your score must be reachable on the resulting eligible list before you can be permanently appointed. If you do not pass the examination or achieve a reachable score, you may not be retained.

Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent of this position maintains the Time Information Management Electronic System (TIMES), processing all forms, data and related notifications. This is a fast-paced, high volume function, where the incumbent must be able to work independently, exercise good judgment, and maintain positive relationships with employees, supervisors and staff from other State agencies.
• Ensure all transactions are accurately updated in TIMES on a daily basis. This includes:
o Updates to employee profiles
? Appointment updates
? Percent changes
? Location changes
? URC changes
? Supervisor changes
o Create/update/correct default schedules
o Set up security roles
o Enter accrual balances
• Request or send accrual balance sheets for new employees and employees who separate service.
• Monitor all TIMES worklist items and resolve when complete. This includes:
o Approval of all Leave Without Pay items such as Jury Duty, Professional Leave, Breast Cancer or Prostate Screening, and any others that requires HR approval.
• Perform TIME Sheet reconstructions as needed
• Work closely with the Payroll Office on a regular basis.
o Conduct TIME Sheet audits if needed
o Verify overtime, extra time, inconvenience pay, hazardous duty pay, holiday pay, etc., if needed
• Assist employees and staff with TIMES questions, help desk tickets, and resolve issues as they arise.
• Assist employees one-on-one when requested or necessary.
• Maintain files related to TIMES and purge them as needed.
