Minimum Qualifications Senior Liberian/SG-19
Minimum qualifications for talking the open-competitive examination: must have a Master's degree from a program accredited by the American Library Association and two years of full time post-degree professional librarian experience.

A Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is not qualifying.

Minimum qualification for promotion: After you complete 26 payroll periods of satisfactory service as a Librarian 2, you will be advanced to Senior Librarian or Senior Librarian (various parenthetic)


Duties Description Plan, develop, implement and manage library services in a correctional setting. Provide reference services to library users, primarily inmates and conduct specialized library instruction for the users. Coordinate book selection, collection maintenance and interlibrary loan services. Supervise inmate workers.
