Salary RangeFrom $42986 to $71980 Annually
Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Duties Description Under the direct supervision of a Senior Transportation Analyst in the Regional Planning Unit within NYMTC’s Planning Group, duties for the selected candidate will include, but are not limited to:
• Support the development and maintenance of the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and all its components, including Transportation System Management and Operations (TSMO); Regional Freight and Goods Movement; Pedestrian and Bicycle Transportation; Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation; environmental mitigation; and Environmental Justice/Title VI assessment, in accordance with Federal and State regulations and guidelines;
• Assist with collection of information and data to facilitate development of analysis of RTP to ensure fiscal constraint;
• Support the development and maintenance of the Congestion Management Process (CMP);
• Assist with coordination of member agencies and USDOT staff in the development of RTP and CMP;
• Support the development of performance measures in accordance with the federal Transportation Performance Management (TPM) requirements;
• Assist with oversight of major project analysis, major investment studies & other special studies;
• Assist with public outreach activities related to RTP and its components and the CMP;
• Assist with the facilitation and maintenance of the Council’s working groups including the Metropolitan Mobility Network and Multi-State Freight Working Group;
• Serve in various capacities on subcommittees or working groups to facilitate the development of the required products; and
• Prepare draft correspondences, reports, documents, presentations, handouts, and brochures.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
