Duties Description Job duties will include processing a large volume of requests for fair hearings from clients and representatives seeking to appeal an adverse decision by a local social services agency or other agency relating to public assistance, medical assistance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and services. Direct aid-to-continue, when appropriate. These requests are processed primarily by interviewing walk-in clients at this site but may include reviewing written requests received via correspondence, telephone, fax or electronically. Utilize the Fair Hearings Information System and other systems when processing transactions. Other tasks may include managing the calendar duties associated with the incoming appellants who appear for hearings. The incumbent will use a knowledge of the entire fair hearing process and administrative hearing procedures, including all applicable agency rules and regulations, to accomplish these tasks.
Additional Comments Appointment to this position is contingent upon Division of Budget approval to fill. A full-time, contingent-permanent appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
This position includes $3026 in location pay.
