Salary RangeFrom $81446 to $102661 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list used for filling this title; one year of permanent, competitive class service as a Project Manager 2; or, one year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description The Project Manager 2 will work in NYSIF's Executive Project Management office (EPMO), which is responsible for carrying out projects identified by Executive and Management in the strategic plan. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the Complex, Consultant, and Small/Medium project teams within the EPMO
- Coordinate projects using standard project management methodologies
- Responsible for the review and approval of detailed project scope statements that identify and clarify the business need, the project goals, project deliverables and the measurement of success
- Oversee the development of project requirements to ensure they align to the project scope
- Develop project schedules that define tasks, identify dependencies, assign resources, estimate effort, identify critical path, and control schedule;
- Manage communications to ensure that all stakeholders in the project are well informed;
- Support the Project Manager 3 in managing all areas of a larger project and present project plans, resource needs, identified risks and potential solutions to the Director of the EPMO
- Lead LEAN projects as assigned
- Supervise, train, and mentor project management staff as assigned
