Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent of this position will work in the Crisis Services department within the Regional Office, and will assist with implementation of OPWDD’s Transformational Agenda. This position will be a cross section of a variety of duties and responsibilities within the 17-county area of the Regional Office. The candidate will be required to work flexible hours when needed to accommodate the needs of individuals and families. Occasional travel within the 17-county area of Region 1 may be required.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participate in regular Forensics meetings and participate in team discussions regarding challenging cases.
2. Provide technical assistance as requested to both voluntary and community providers to assist with challenging cases.
3. Responding to APS and CPS calls, which may include home visits.
4. Member of forensic groups across Region 1.
5. Coordination of Intensive Behavioral Supports (IBS) services in Monroe county and outlying areas.
Additional duties may include, but not be limited to: providing technical assistance and training to CCO Care Managers and voluntary service providers; supervision of other members of the regional office staff and additional responsibilities as appropriate related to Regional Office functions.
