Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be in title, eligible for 70.1 transfer, or reachable on the Civil Service Eligible List. Provisional appointment may be considered. To be considered for provisional appointment you must meet the following requirements: one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a G-5 or higher clerical, secretarial, keyboarding or paraprofessional** title set in an office environment. Qualifying titles are available at: www.cs.ny.gov/examannouncements/announcements/00340titles.cfm.† Only the title(s) listed is qualifying for this examination(s).
**Only paraprofessional titles in an office environment will be considered qualifying. Service in a direct care title is not qualifying experience. Examples of non-qualifying titles are: Developmental Disabilities Secure Care Treatment Aide 1; Direct Support Assistant; Food Service Worker 1; Licensed Practical Nurse; Mental Health Therapy Aide; and Security Services Assistant.
Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This Program Aide will perform a variety of paraprofessional technical and program activities to support the work of professional staff in the administration of Broome DDSOO Quality Improvements programs. They will perform professional analysis and program administration activities that closely resemble those performed by professional program and technical positions in the Quality Improvement areas. Assignments will be characterized by the application of clear guidelines, which require basic analysis, review, and decision-making. This position serves to ensure Incident Management processes are adhered to by staff within the QI department and across the DDSOO
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply analytical techniques as required by the Quality Improvement Department.
• Monitor and evaluate data for deficiencies and assist in correcting problems.
• Collect, tabulate, and analyze data.
• Implement methods of data analysis.
• Draw conclusions from data.
• Compile reports, charts, or graphs that describe and interpret finding of analyses.
• Draft action plans based upon data.
Assist in monitoring compliance with administrative and programmatic requirements.
• Draft reports and memoranda in accordance with agency guidelines.
• Gather, review, and evaluate information required by professionals to conduct program audits.
• Assist in the preparation, review, evaluation, and analysis of a variety of reports, directly related to Incident Management, and more broadly to Quality Improvement activities.
