Salary RangeFrom $56604 to $71980 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as a Management Specialist 1, OR NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. The position may also be filled at the trainee level by appointment of a candidate reachable on the PATT or PCO list or in a title eligible to transfer to Management Specialist Trainee 1 or 2. If filled as a trainee, the selected candidate must successfully complete a two-year traineeship.
Duties Description This position will be in the Project Management Unit of the Bureau of Quality Control and Enterprise Projects. This unit works with agency project teams with the goal of improving and expanding the agency’s program integrity work with managed care organizations (MCOs). Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Coordinate and manage meetings for the Managed Care Project Teams; process Managed Care Plan audit/investigation clearance requests; assist the Project Manager with the Provider Investigative Report, a required MCO reporting tool; coordinate on-site visits with managed care plans, which will include setting up reservations for travel and lodging; respond to inquiries that come into the Project Management Office, which will include both internal and external requests; attend Technical Advisory Group nationwide conference calls; support the Quality Assurance and External Audit unit in the Bureau, as needed.
Additional Comments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent written and oral communication, grammar, and editing skills; critical, independent thinking, and analytical skills; excellent reading comprehension; and must be able to use Access and Excel.
