Anyone eligible for a 70.1 transfer.

appointment.
Minimum Qualifications: You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.
On or before the date of the examination, the candidate must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as either:
1. a Nurse 2, (including all parenthetics), Community Mental Health Nurse, (including all parenthetics), Infection Control Nurse, or Senior Utilization Review Nurse;
OR
2. one year in any Grade 16 or higher position that requires a license and current New York State registration as a Registered Nurse

Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
DUTIES: Campus Wide duties will include but, not limited to:
• Participates in the Campus Meetings and other meetings as necessary.
• May assist in investigations with a medical nursing emphasis.
• Monitors nursing and health care services to ensure delivery of high-quality care to individuals.
• Ensures and supports the development and implementation of Individualized Plans of Nursing Care for each consumer with health concerns and or nursing tasks.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and facility policy and Procedure.
• Assists in the development of nursing policy and procedure
• Provides oversight for infection control on Campus and in Community settings.
• Will participate in Mortality reviews for residents on Campus.
• Coordinates visiting Consultants in the Campus Medical Clinic.
• Participates in the selection of new nurses
• Evaluates and provides direction / recommendations on the deployment of nursing resources to provide coverage and efficient use of resources.
• Oversees the AMAP Program by way of participation in review of medication errors, and technical assistance to RNs in matters of remediation and oversight of AMAPs.
• Provides direct supervision to a group of licensed professional nursing staff.
• Maintains an active dialogue with other Nurse Administrators to ensure health and nursing practices within community services programs are current Participate in Electronic Health Record Committee locally and with Central Office
• Supports nurses with Electronic Health records
• Serves as a backup for the AED program
• Reports to NYSDOH Annual school survey
• Supervision provided by the Nursing Program Coordinator.
• Other duties as assigned by Nursing Program Coordinator
