Minimum Qualifications Associates degree in Physical Education, Recreation, Recreation Therapy or a closely related field. Two years experience directing or assisting in the direction of a scheduled, organized recreation program or a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Recreation or Recreation Therapy or a closely related field or a Bachelor's degree and two years experience as described above.

Duties Description Organize time activities for inmates including developing and directing a comprehensive recreational program of athletic and non-athletic activities; assessing the interests of inmates; develop procedures for and monitoring all activities to ensure compliance with established directives; soliciting inmate and community involvement; providing instruction in and officiating at activities. Preparing written reports; maintaining records of participants, programs, and equipment; responsibility for issuance and repair of equipment and supplies; conducting tryouts and selecting teams and officials; and coordinating tournaments.
