Minimum Qualifications For Vocational Instructor 1/SG12: Four years of appropriate trade experience and an Associates degree in appropriate to the teaching field and two years of such experience or a Bachelor's degree appropriate to the teaching to the teaching field and one year of such experience.
For Vocational Instructor 2/SG13: in addition to meeting the level one qualifications, candidates must include three credits in human development/learning, teaching students w/disabilities/curriculum/instruction and assessment and ELA or Associates and credits as noted and two years experience or Bachelor's and credits as noted above and one year experience.
For Vocational Instructor 3/SG15: Initial certification as teacher of trade subjects.
For Vocational Instructor 4/SG17: Professional certification as teacher of trade subjects.
Duties Description Teach custodial maintenance skills, including cleaning and maintenance of different floor surfaces, window cleaning, safe janitorial cleaning techniques and the use of different cleaning chemicals. Instructs are also responsible for maintaining records of inmate safety training, skills learned and overall progress in the program. Additionally, each instructor coordinates the purchasing and inventory of program equipment and supplies.
