Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications:

A PhD in macroeconomics with a focus on labor and regional economic policy issues.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in public sector economic analysis, including experience managing staff in the production of reports and other analysis.

Candidates must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience with software such as SAS, IMPLAN and Tableau.

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to adhere to tight time constraints with a high degree of independence

Duties Description Supervise a small staff of analysts that identifies, researches and analyzes economic, budgetary and public policy issues affecting New York City.

Monitor and analyze economic trends at the national, state, regional and local levels and assess their impact on current and future New York City revenue collections.

Interact with and represent OSDC to internal stakeholders, state and local agencies, elected officials, business leaders, academic researchers and policy advocates.

Oversee the production of reports, memos and other products on a timely basis on the condition of New York City’s finances, employment sectors, regional economies and other issues of public interest.
