Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent status as an Administrative Specialist 1, OR NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. The position may also be filled at the trainee level by appointment of a candidate reachable on the PATT or PCO list or in a title eligible to transfer to Administrative Specialist Trainee 1 or 2. If filled as a trainee, the selected candidate must successfully complete a two-year traineeship.

Duties Description This position will be assigned to the Division of Medicaid Audit. The incumbent of this position will report directly to the Deputy Medicaid Inspector General (MIG) for Medicaid Audit. The incumbent will provide professional administrative and staff support to the Deputy MIG, and, as needed, to audit managers as determined by the DMIG. The duties of this position will include, but not be limited to the following:

•Coordinate administrative activities, including coordination and frequent contact with Executive Chamber, Division of the Budget and other state, federal and municipal agency stakeholder staff for the purpose of scheduling and communication to support the DMIG for Audit and provide support to Executive level staff when needed.
•Work independently, utilize sound judgment, prioritize tasks, and support Division responsibilities.
•Schedule appointments and maintain calendars.
•Make travel arrangements and prepare expense reports.
•Maintain confidential files and communications.
•Provide professional and confidential support to the DMIG for Audit.

Additional Comments Filling of this position is pending a waiver approval by the Division of the Budget.
