Minimum Qualifications Possession of a valid NYS Driver's license.

Duties Description Jobs duties can include cleaning/maintenance, front end customer service and camper registration and DEC campgrounds.

Must have dependable transportation and be able to work assigned shifts. Must be punctual; reporting for work on time, well groomed, wear appropriate attire or assigned uniform, including work shoes no sneakers. Issued clothing must be kept clean, presentable.

Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

Must be willing and able to do manual work in park (such as lifting garbage cans chest high, using rakes and shovels, push/riding lawn mowers, and cleaning toilets).

Must be able to speak clearly and communicate with others, i.e. the camping public, co workers.

Must be willing and able to read and understand the Campground Operations Manual and perform all assigned functions defined within.

Must be able to communicate any issues with supervisor and complete assignments with high consideration for the safety of the employee and others.

Must be capable and willing to operate a personal computer for time and attendance submittal, revenue accounting purposes and permit issuance.

Additional Comments Positions available at multiple sites throughout the Adirondack Park.

Multiple seasonal jobs available ranging through all aspects of the campgrounds.

Possible work locations include. Fish Creek Ponds, Rollins Pond, Wilmington Notch, Meadowbrook, Lake Eaton, Lake Harris, Lincoln Pond, Meacham Lake, Saranac Lake Islands, Putnam Pond, Crown Point, AuSable Point, Buck Pond.

Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.

These are temporary positions with a duration of 5/1/20 through 9/5/20. Actual work schedule may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
