CANDIDATE MAY BE REQUIRED TO TAKE AND PASS A TYPING PERFORMANCE TEST.

Duties Description DUTIES:
• Provide direct support to attorneys, architects, engineers and paralegals through processing documents and entering data.
• Draft and send letters to complainants and other parties on behalf of attorneys and other professionals.
• Assist paralegals with the review of subpoena documents such as Con Ed records by filling out forms, proofreading, and mailing the documents out to their designated party.
• Processing incoming complaints using the NY Matters database.
• Conduct research for attorneys by reviewing cases, looking up property information, using the government database to gather information
• Conduct Oracle searches to determine the status of plans, including when a principal of a sponsor has filed another plan with the DOL.
• Assist in processing and tracking data, including Assurances of Discontinuance using Microsoft Excel and other software
• Answer bureau’s incoming calls and route calls to appropriate staff.
• Process bureau’s incoming mail using MS Access and distribute to appropriate staff.
• Create and edit documents for public use
• Closing complaint/enforcement files using NYMatters and the Paper Archives Management (PAM) system.
• Provide additional administrative support to staff, as requested.

Additional Comments THIS IS A 18-MONTH TRAINEESHIP LEADING TO SALARY GRADE 9.
