Current NYS Employees: Eligible for reassignment in title or for transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law. Reachable for appointment from appropriate Civil Service eligible list.
Open to the Public: There will be no written examination If you meet the minimum qualifications, your education and experience will be evaluated against the general background/critical activities of the position.
Long-term care experience
Duties Description Incumbent will provide clinical assessment, teaching and supervision on the cottages. The Nurse 1 will work closely with medical staff and will provide hands-on nursing care, i.e. IV’s, venipuncture, eds, etc. They will also be responsible for developing and directing nursing rehabilitation programs which must be under the direction of a registered nurse. They will be directly responsible for supervising LPN’s and NAC’s assigned to the cottages.
