Duties Description This position requires variable hours- will hire for part-time and full-time shifts. Shifts can begin as early as 7:00 a.m. and can end as late as 7:30 p.m. Applicants must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Under the supervision of higher-level personnel, the selected candidate will be engaged in the performance of the following semi-skilled tasks and/or activities:
Performs general area maintenance including but not limited to litter control, refuse removal, grounds upkeep, landscaping, restroom facility cleanliness and other tasks and/or activities as described.
Assists skilled or semi-skilled trades by performing a variety of relatively un-skilled tasks.
Answers patron inquiries concerning park activities.
Performs cashier duties.
Additional Comments Operational Needs:
-Selected candidate must possess and maintain a valid New York State Motor Vehicle Class D Driver License by the date of appointment, as a term and condition of employment.
-Ability to operate and skill in the use and maintenance of lawn/garden equipment and small hand tools.
-Ability to read and understand written and/or verbal material and instructions; effective communication skills.
-Ability to do simple math such as add, subtract, multiply and divide.
-Ability to work outdoors
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
-Experience handling money
-Bilingual Spanish-English a plus.
