Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent, competitive class service as an Assistant Office Services Manager; or, one year of permanent, competitive class service in a title approved by the Department of Civil Service for transfer under Sections 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Examples of eligible titles include: Head Clerk, Purchasing Agent, Senior Administrative Analyst.
Duties Description The Assistant Office Services Manager will coordinate all facility related operations for the three Albany locations under the direction of the Administration Department.
Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to all the following: handling all property related matters, overseeing the building management and maintenance contract, elevator inspection and service, security and visitor protocols, issuing ID cards, alarm and camera security operations, review of inspection and safety reports, fire drills, monitoring preventive and ad-hoc maintenance, janitorial and cleaning protocols, shipping and receiving, surplus equipment, coordinating property matters requiring IT assistance, staff moves and maintaining seating charts. Additional responsibilities include supervision of facility and/or fleet management staff and to carryout duties of other staff during absences and assisting with special projects as needed.
