Candidates must have permanent status as an Office Assistant 2 (Calculations), Grade 9, and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law by having one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a qualifying title within two salary grades.
Duties Description The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill an Office Assistant 2 (Calculations), Grade 9, positions assigned to the Administrative Services Support Group (ASSG). ASSG supervises and manages OMH’s capital planning and construction program and provides direct technical assistance for physical plant operations and maintenance. The incumbent of this position will be responsible for working within the Capital Asset Management System (CAMS) to analyze financial data relative to bondable determinations. Specific duties to be performed may include, but are not limited to, to following:
Support Dormitory Authority bonding determinations for Short-Term Interest Pool (STIP) payments.
Assist Project Coordinators with project management updates, status reports and bondable payment processing.
Analyze financial data relative to bondable determinations and make updates to CAMS.
Run expenditure reports from the Statewide Financial System (SFS).
Compile bondable payment expenditure spreadsheets using information from SFS, Filenet, and CAMS.
Assist in processing the Capital Review reports including updates to expenditures.
Prepare reports and updates relative to existing projects in SFS.
Assist with ASSG-wide phone coverage and submit updates for the department website.
Archive project files and perform records retention activities for ASSG.
Assist with violation processing and various fleet-related projects for the Fleet Services Unit.
