Minimum Qualifications Candidates for the position of eDiscovery Support Specialist should possess the following qualifications:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, is required, as is the ability to learn new computer applications;
• Familiarity with eDiscovery software Relativity and/or Concordance is preferred. Prior experience with multiple eDiscovery platforms is a plus;
• Dynamic self-starter with a proven ability to work in a collaborative environment; and
• The ability to function as an integral part of a team and work in a group setting, as well as independently.
Duties Description The New York State Office of the Attorney General’s (OAG) Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) is seeking an eDiscovery Support Specialist for its Electronic Investigative Support Group (EISG) based in New York City. The mission of MFCU is to investigate, prosecute and bring affirmative civil cases to recover taxpayer funds exploited by improper or fraudulent Medicaid billing schemes, as well as to investigate and prosecute allegations of abuse and neglect of residents in nursing homes and other residential healthcare facilities.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting staff located statewide with eDiscovery requests and case management assistance;
• Providing case management support, including researching, organizing and reporting the Unit’s case data utilizing various software applications;
• Supporting applications specific to eDiscovery;
• Loading data from outside entities into various eDiscovery platforms;
• Troubleshooting problems with software applications and handling service calls with vendors;
• Researching and recommending different eDiscovery solutions, as appropriate;
• Applying software and license updates to case management and eDiscovery applications;
• Handling confidential correspondence and data; and
• Performing other duties as assigned.
