PSYCHIATRIST 1:
Possession of a license to practice medicine in New York State and completion of an accredited training program in general psychiatry acceptable by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology for entrance into its examination. Eligible for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.

PSYCHIATRIST 2:
Possession of a license to practice medicine in New York State and board certification in general psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Eligible for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.


PSYCHIATRIST 2 (Children &Youth)
Possession of a license to practice medicine in New York State and board certification in child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Eligible for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.

Duties Description Psychiatrists in the OMH Telepsychiatry Program provide services to outpatients at clinics throughout the state via Telepsychiatry hubs. Incumbents apply telemedicine to the specialty field of psychiatry, delivering psychiatric assessments and care through telecommunications technology, including videoconferencing. Hub locations are available throughout New York State.

Prospective appointees will be:
(1) Checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs
(2) Investigated through a Criminal Background Check (CBC), which includes State and federal Criminal History Record Checks
(3) Screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR).
