Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates reachable on the Civil Service Eligible list(s) will be canvassed. However, you may also apply if you are eligible for appointment by one of the following qualifications:
70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: One year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55b/c service as an Auditor 2 Sales Tax, Grade 23.
*Consecutive transfers cannot result in advancement of more than two salary grades.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders
Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES: As an Auditor 2 in the Special Audit and Enforcement Unit, reporting to an Auditor 3, duties include but are not limited to:
• Conduct payroll audits and perform investigations on largest employers and the most difficult to resolve cases.
• Participates in "groundbreaking" initiatives i.e. JTF (Joint Task Force).
• Conducts informal conferences with employers/representatives to resolve pending issues prior to a formal hearing. The unit employs the most technically efficient processes available to the region.
• Assists other district offices with difficult and complex cases.
• Instructs employers on proper record keeping and reporting
• Collects delinquent accounts.
Additional Comments Please Note: Positions in the Unemployment Insurance Division may be in-person, remote, or partially remote and partially in-person. Remote employees will be required to report in-person if directed. Positions may be subject to mandatory and/or voluntary overtime, which may include evening and weekend hours. Shift start times may vary based on operational need.
