Minimum Qualifications Candidates reachable on the Civil Service Eligible list(s) will be canvassed. However, you may also apply if you are eligible for appointment by one of the following qualifications:
70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in a title Grade 12 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
The Principal Employment Security Clerk will:
• Supervise clerical staff engaged in providing support services related to accepting, processing, and certifying claims for unemployment insurance benefits;
• Review work for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and completeness;
• Identify and resolve problems arising in the processing of transactions;
• Prepare periodic and special activity reports;
• Schedule work assignments to ensure mandated timeliness requirements are met.
Additional Comments Please Note: Positions in the Unemployment Insurance Division may be in-person, remote, or partially remote and partially in-person. Remote employees will be required to report in-person if directed. Positions may be subject to mandatory and/or voluntary overtime, which may include evening and weekend hours. Shift start times may vary based on operational need.
