Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled trades-worker or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course.

Duties Description - Will be required to work outside in adverse condition during the winter.
- Will be responsible for building rehabilitation and maintenance of NYS DEC Campground facilities.
- Will be required to respond to emergencies at the facility regardless of the time factor, day/night.
- Will be required to operate a personal computer.
- Will be required to oversee and do manual work in park (such as toilet / bathroom cleaning, carpentry, roofing, painting, plumbing, equipment operation, chainsaw operation, maintaining roads, grounds and facilities, lifting garbage cans chest high, using rakes and shovels.)
- Must be well groomed, wear issued uniform, as well as safety toe work shoes, no sneakers. Issued clothing must be kept clean and presentable.
- Will be required to preform a variety of semiskilled carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, roofing, masonry and related work in maintaining, repairing and constructing a wide variety of park structures, roads and other facilities.

Additional Comments Must have valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain, work in remote areas and in adverse weather conditions. Travel and overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.

This is a seasonal, hourly appointment ending no later than 3/31/21. This positions length will be dependent on funding. Actual work schedule and hours may vary, and will be discussed at the interview. Employee may be required to work at a 50% schedule depending on funding availability.
