Minimum Qualifications Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.

Open to the Public: There will be no written examination. If you meet the minimum qualifications, your education and experience will be evaluated against the general background/critical activities of the position.

Eligible for reassignment in title or for transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law. Reachable for appointment from appropriate Civil Service eligible list.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in long-term care

Duties Description The incumbent will provide clinical assessment, teaching and supervision on the cottages. The Nurse 1 will work closely with the medical staff, as well as provide hands-on nursing care, eg. IV’s, venipuncture, meds, etc. They will also be responsible for developing and directing nursing rehabilitation programs which must be under the direction of a registered nurse. They will be directly responsible for supervising LPN’s and NAC’s, assigned to the cottages.

Additional Comments In addition to the base pay salary, employees in this title are eligible for $8000 Geographic pay differential, and shift differential ($2000 for evenings; $3000 for nights).
