Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
60 or more college semester credit hours AND one year of full-time work experience in customer service;*
OR
a high school diploma or GED AND two years of full-time work experience, one year of which must be in customer service.*
*For the purposes of this position, customer service is being defined as: interacting with the general public where your primary responsibility is effectively communicating verbally to explain programs/services, policies, or procedures or resolve customer issues and/or problems.
Qualifying Experience may include: call center agent, customer service representative, sales representative providing information, bank officer, or telemarketer.
Examples of Non-Qualifying Experience include: receptionist, data entry clerk, cashier, retail clerk, bartender, wait staff, hair stylist, bus driver, or home health aide, etc.
Preferred Qualifications: Customer service experience, Microsoft applications, and/or clerical experience
Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
As a Senior Employment Security Clerk assigned to the Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board, you would perform a variety of administrative support functions for the Unemployment Insurance hearing office. Duties include but are not limited to photocopying case files; communicating with hearing parties including processing of hearing notices and decisions; answering telephone queries from parties to cases, signing in parties to hearings; scheduling hearings for judicial staff and administrative duties associated with the tracking and use of interpreters in a timely fashion.
Additional Comments Schedule may be 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, or 9:00AM - 5:00 PM.
