Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience qualifications for this class. Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.
Availability to work a rotating weekend and holiday schedule is mandatory. Basic knowledge and understanding of hand & power tools, including lawn care and grounds maintenance equipment and an ability to perform simple construction and mechanical repairs is required for this position.
Duties Description Employee will assist with minor construction projects, facility and building repair and rehabilitation, grounds maintenance, as well as assist with the production of ring-neck pheasants of varying age classes.
Additional Comments Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain and/or work in remote areas. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Travel and overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with a duration through 11/30/21. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date, which may be prior to date listed. Actual work schedule, duties, and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
