Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or possession of a high school equivalency diploma or a USAFI GED certificate (high school level) OR a satisfactory combination of education and/or experience assisting in engineering or related work, at the rate of six months of experience for one year of high school.

Duties Description Under supervision of the Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) Program Manager, the Engineering Aide performs the following duties: scans and uploads inspection checklists and related documents into the Department database; organizes and archives hard copies of documents in the RCRA storage area; assists in identifying RCRA records in response to Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests; drafts Notice of Violations and mails out correspondence to facilities. This position will be responsible for a very high work output level as there is a large volume of RCRA documents, inspection reports and related correspondence that have to be e-archived. The performance of the above tasks requires experience in scanning, punctuality, reliability, diligence, and self-organization.

Additional Comments Must be able to lift and move objects up to 20 pounds.

This is a part-time, seasonal position through March 31, 2022. Program needs and/or funding will determine the actual termination date of the position which may be prior to the date indicate here.
