Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be in title or on the Civil Service eligible list for this location or be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 in a designated title
determined by the New York State Department of Civil Service.
Provisional Qualifications:
Speech Language Pathologist 2:
Open Competitive: one year of post-master's experience* as a Speech Language Pathologist AND
Either I: New York State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist;
Or II: American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) certification in Speech Language Pathology.
* This experience is NOT in addition to the experience required for licensure or certification. However, you must have had one full calendar year of experience rather than the nine months of experience required for licensure or certification.

Duties Description Position will be based in Dansville, NY, with travel to state operated residences within Livingston, Steuben, Schuyler and Chemung counties. Speech Language Pathologist duties will include speech, language, communication and dysphagia assessments and treatment. Article 16 and IPSIDD Services will be provided to individuals who attend Clinic Satellites at DDSO day programs and live in state operated homes or in the community. Experience in augmentative/alternative communication, dysphagia and working as part of an interdisciplinary team are desirable. Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid billing and coding is beneficial.
