Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human services, public administration, or business and five years of experience in a human services field, two of which must have been at a supervisory level.

Duties Description The Regional Coordinator OASAS is responsible for overall operations of assigned territories served by the NYC Regional Office and has primary responsibility for improving the quality of care for the individuals and families served by the OASAS-certified prevention, treatment and recovery systems through an integrated approach to problem-solving involving collaboration of government, providers, and consumers. The incumbent assists the Regional Office administration by supervising overall activities of assigned territories within the NYC Regional Office; overseeing all program staff engaged in Provider oversight and support in the areas of Program/Fiscal Audit, Certification, Housing, Prevention, Research and Managed Care. Duties include but are not limited to: provide guidance, direction, and training to assigned staff in activities related to the evaluation of OASAS programs, and assist in resolving policy and operational problems raised by OASAS-certified providers and State staff to ensure consistency across the region; interface with local governments and all certified Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment, prevention, and recovery providers in the region; assist the Regional Director OASAS in service development and implementation of activities in the region; oversee the annual Program Performance Review process and make final recommendations to the Regional Office administration on provider budget proposals; assist with recommending budget changes, and capital and programmatic development activities; provide feedback to Regional Office Administration on ramifications of policy and procedural changes related to OASAS operations; represent OASAS on the Regional Planning Consortium as part of the Conference of Local Mental Hygiene Directors initiative, and interact with various Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Performing Provider Systems (PPS) represented in the region; assist in needs assessments of Regional and local SUD programs and services to determine adequacy of existing systems, and to determine service gaps; direct response to significant incidents occurring in OASAS-certified programs; review all incoming incidents, assess risk and determine if a visit should be made; responsible for incident management in the Vulnerable Persons Central Registry (VPCR); ensure provider responses/investigatory activities are adequate and that corrections were made; supervise Regional Office professional, paraprofessional and support staff; and other duties as assigned.

Additional Comments Position is Non-Competitive Phi- Pending Civil Service and DoB approval. Position will require travel on an as needed basis.
