Salary RangeFrom $73284 to $92693 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Must be licensed and currently registered as a Physician Assistant by the New York State Education Department or possess a limited permit to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York State. If appointed with a limited permit, the candidate has one year from the date their permit was issued to obtain their license. In addition, you must sign up for and appear at the next scheduled Civil Service Examination for this title. Must attain a reachable score to be retained in this position.
Duties Description Under the supervision of a Physician, The Physician Assistant: Develops a health profile by taking health and development history, performing physical exams and other diagnostic tests. Develops or assist in the development of a health plan for primary, acute, or long-term care. Initiates and provides emergency care services as appropriate. Coordinates disease prevention and health maintenance programs using available resources. Conducts routine physical examinations for inmates.
