Valid NYS CDL Class B or Class A Driver's license required. May be filled from a mandatory reemployment list if one is in effect at the time of appointment. Candidates may be expected to be qualified to use negative pressure respirators
Duties Description Valid NYS CDL Class B or Class A Driver's license required. Ability to load, unload and carry cargo to and from the vehicle operated and / or storage point for all assigned areas for landscaping, snow removal, salting, trash/recycling, and special events required; Ability to accurately complete all vehicle, fuel logs and vehicle inspection reports required. Scheduled and non-scheduled overtime (to support campus events throughout the year) required. .
Appointment will be contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment testing for controlled substance use as mandated by the Federal Highway Administration Omnibus Transportation Act of 1991 (OTETA). Employment cannot commence until notification for successful completion of this pre-employment testing is received. Please note that in addition to the initial testing required by OTETA, the Act further requires that the University conduct pre-assignment (promotion), reasonable suspicion, post-accident, random, follow-up and return to duty drug and alcohol testing throughout the period of employment.
