Minimum Qualifications NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as a Program Aide, G-13 or a current NYS employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service in a title allocated to G-11 or higher, and eligible for transfer to Program Aide under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong customer service; strong organizational skills; demonstrated flexibility and adaptability; excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to handle multiple priorities; detail oriented, self-motivated and wiling to take on new assignments.

Duties Description As a Program Aide assigned to HRMG, you will use various computer applications to support recruitment and hiring activities for DOH. You will be the main contact/liaison to the Business Services Center (BSC), Office of the State Comptroller (OSC), and Civil Service regarding all matters related to transactions. Types of transactions range from acquiring and entering maildrops and N#’s, retirements, separations and leaves, compliance with BER settlements, payroll, performance evaluations, and other assorted Personnel matters. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining and updating databases; researching and analyzing data; creating charts, tables and reports on different HR topics for review by higher level staff; participating in review of internal procedures; and assisting with special projects, as needed.
