Four (4) years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled journey level worker which would provide training equivalent to that given in an apprenticeship program. Apprenticeship training in a trade or training gained by the completion of technical courses in a trade at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services may be substituted on a year-for-year basis
Duties Description Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor 2 and Plant Superintendent, a Trades Generalist functions as a skilled worker in a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, repair, installation, and construction tasks in the mechanical, building, motor equipment and electrical trades. The Trades Generalist must have working knowledge of the principles, methods, and materials used in the various trades; have the ability to plan, layout, order materials, and complete assigned work in various trades, as instructed with journeyman results; have the ability to use the tools, machines, and equipment of the various trades following prescribed safety and tool control measures; capable of troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems; have the ability to supervise, work with and instruct subordinate staff and communicate with co-workers.
Additional Comments Base salary plus an additional annual $3,026.00 location pay.
