Minimum Qualifications Candidates must currently be serving in the title of Developmental Assistant 3 with permanent or contingent permanent status at OPWDD OR

be reachable for appointment from the Civil Service List; OR

currently be serving in a position in which you are eligible to transfer to this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidate must possess good management, budgeting and math skills. In addition, candidate must be able to maintain attendance records and develop 28-day schedules. Possession of a valid driver license and current recertification in SCIP, CPR, First Aid and AMAP are preferred.

Duties Description • Evaluate staffing needs based on specific program objectives.

• Instruct mid-level supervisors as to tasks to be performed and provide them with written and verbal guidelines.

• Review/approve or modify as needed schedules/assignments developed by mid-level supervisor.

• Review the use of overtime and revise assignments as necessary.

• Ensure that staff comply with OT policies/procedures.

• Acquire and complete OT assessments forms.

• Assist in ensuring that hospital and sitter service is in place, when needed.

• Assist higher level supervisory/administrative staff in coordinating matters related to employee corrective /disciplinary actions.

• Review administrative reports and follow up as required.

• Travel required to conduct unannounced visits to IRAs
