Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have a minimum of three (3) years of post-graduation civil law experience. Applicants must be capable of handling all phases of an investigation and case development, from commencement through resolution, and must have superior writing, analytical, organizational, negotiation and supervisory skills.

Applicants must reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York State and be admitted to practice law in New York State. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that OAG attorneys be citizens of the United States. A two (2) year commitment upon being hired is a condition of employment.

Duties Description The New York State Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking an experienced attorney to serve in the Watertown Regional Office. The Regional Office represents the State and its agencies and officers in a wide range of state court litigation and transactional matters, as well as handles consumer, charities and social and economic justice matters. The Regional Office is comprised of three attorneys, one investigator, and two support staff who regularly collaborate with OAG staff in other office locations on matters and initiatives.
