On average, over 1,000 specimens are tested daily by newborn screening staff. The timely reporting of these test results is critical, any delay in the performance and reporting of newborn screening test results will have an immediate impact on the health of affected babies, some of which may result in devastating health consequences, and possibly death for those seriously compromised. The incumbent will perform demographic data entry for specimens received for testing at the Wadsworth Center, Newborn Screening Program located in the David Axelrod Institute (DAI) at 120 New Scotland Avenue, Albany. There is free onsite parking. Responsibilities include: perform patient demographic data entry, document telephone interactions with providers, prepare and process various reports, letters, correspondence and documentation.
