Minimum Qualifications Currently in title Dietician 2; or

Eligible for a 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent competitive status in a title deemed comparable to Dietician 2 by the Department of Civil Service (must also be within 2 salary grades of a grade 18); or

Reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for Dietician 2.

Duties Description As a Dietitian 2, you would be a member of an interdisciplinary team and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy which may include consulting with physicians on nutrition support requests; conduct meal observations; planning and supervising the preparation of special diets and menus; maintaining safe and sanitary conditions; and training or assisting individuals, families, and staff to plan specialized and therapeutic nutrition care plans. You will also complete semi/ annual nutritional assessments in the Electronic Health Record chart and participate in care plan meetings. Monitor the need of high nutritional risk individuals in their assigned area (i.e., tube feeding, pre-tube feedings, those prone to aspiration pneumonia, multiple chopped/puree consistency diets, as well as individuals with electrolyte, nutrient, and other metabolic needs, such as diabetes, hypertension, low body weight, etc.).
Other duties as assigned appropriate to the title.
