Duties Description JOB DESCRIPTION:

Licensed Psychologist will work closely with the department to ensure high quality psychological service delivery to individuals residing in State Operated Group Homes and family care. The Licensed Psychologist will serve on committees requiring a licensed clinician at the discretion of the Chief Psychologist. This job also includes, but it not limited to, providing any assessment and oversight of items needing a license, carry a small caseload of IRAs, supervise non-licensed clinicians, conduct risk management, individual clinical therapy and diagnosis, leading groups, curriculum management and creation, and special projects assigned by the Chief Psychologist. Eligible candidates much have licensure in place. One year or more of experience with developmental disabilities in the NYS system is preferred.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide clinical supervision to two to five master’s level psychologists in Southern Region
• Streamline psychological processes and provide instruction on all issues related to Electronic Health Record implementation
• Conduct psychological evaluations for Shared Decision-Making Committee, Health Care Proxy, and End of Life decisions
• Carry a small case load of two to four Individualized Residential Alternative (IRA) homes and develop, implement, monitor and revise behavioral support plans and all supporting processes and documentation that goes with residential and billable clinical services for the individuals residing in these IRAs
• Co-lead therapy groups serving individuals in state operations
• Oversight and management of compliance with regulatory processes associated with the function of an OPWDD psychologist.
• Represent the psychology discipline on various committees and workgroups serving individuals in state operations
• Develop and present clinical trainings as needed.
• Assist with recruitment and training of new staff at WNYDDSO
• Assist in any other duties afforded to a Licensed Psychologist at the Discretion of the Chief Psychologist
