Eligible for 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent status in a title deemed comparable to an Office Assistant 2 by the Department of Civil Service.

PROVISIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in an office assistant, clerical, or keyboarding title allocated to Grade 5 or higher.

Duties Description The incumbent of this position maintains the Time Information Management Electronic System (TIMES), processing all forms, data and related notifications. This is a fast-paced, high volume function, where the incumbent must be able to work independently, exercise good judgment, and maintain positive relationships with employees, supervisors and staff from other State agencies.

• Ensure all transactions are accurately updated in TIMES on a daily basis. This includes:
o Updates to employee profiles
? Appointment updates
? Percent changes
? Location changes
? URC changes
? Supervisor changes
o Create/update/correct default schedules
o Set up security roles
o Enter accrual balances
• Request or send accrual balance sheets for new employees and employees who separate service.
• Monitor all TIMES worklist items and resolve when complete. This includes:
o Approval of all Leave Without Pay items such as Jury Duty, Professional Leave, Breast Cancer or Prostate Screening, and any others that requires HR approval.
• Perform TIME Sheet reconstructions as needed
• Work closely with the Payroll Office on a regular basis.
o Conduct TIME Sheet audits if needed
o Verify overtime, extra time, inconvenience pay, hazardous duty pay, holiday pay, etc., if needed
• Assist employees and staff with TIMES questions, help desk tickets, and resolve issues as they arise.
• Assist employees one-on-one when requested or necessary.
• Maintain the TIMES for all employees on Administrative Leave (AL) and Suspension and take all daily AL calls needed to help maintain the timesheets for employees out on AL
• Manage files related to TIMES and purge them as needed.
• Other duties and/or special projects as assigned that may not relate to TIMES.
