Minimum Qualifications Reachable for appointment to Trainee 1 level on the current Civil Service eligible list used for filling this title; or, one year of permanent, competitive class service as a Policyholder Services Representative 1; or, one year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Titles eligible for transfer under section 70.1 include: Claims Services Representative 1, Underwriter 1, and Investigator 2 (Compensation Claims).

Duties Description This is a field-based position requiring excellent writing skills and the ability to independently schedule appointments and maintain an assigned book of business. The Policyholder Services Representative 1 provides a range of loss control services to clients on a tiered basis, with more comprehensive services offered to those of higher premium levels and higher need. These services include injury analysis; review and development of individualized safety policies and procedures; physical and behavioral hazard identification; safety training; individualized strategic service plan development.
