Minimum Qualifications Current New York State Employee with a minimum of one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as a Management Specialist 1, G-18, or in a title allocated to G-16 or above and eligible to transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law OR in a title eligible to transfer to Management Specialist Trainee 1 or Management Specialist Trainee 2 under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
The position may also be filled at the trainee level by appointment of a candidate reachable on the PATT or PCO list. If filled as a trainee, the selected candidate must successfully complete a two-year traineeship.
This position may be designated 55b/c and is subject to
verification of applicant eligibility.

Duties Description This position will be in the Project Management Unit of the Bureau of Quality Control and Enterprise Projects. This unit works with divisions across the agency with the goal of improving and expanding the agency’s program integrity work. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: process Managed Care Plan audit/investigation clearance requests; assist the Project Manager with the Provider Investigative Report; assist the Project Manager with the Medicaid Redesign Team II initiatives implementation; assist the Project Manager with the Managed Care Project Teams; assist with coordinating on-site visits with managed care plans, this will include setting up reservations for travel and lodging; assist the Project Manager with coordinating and managing meetings with internal and external stakeholders; assist with inquiries that come into the Project Management Office, which will include both internal and external requests; attend Technical Advisory Group nationwide conference calls; as needed, assist Quality Assurance and External Audit in the Bureau, and other projects and duties, as assigned.
Additional Comments Management Specialist Trainee 1 position starts at $45,617.
