Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as an Administrative Aide (G-13), Agency Program Aide (G-13) or Program Aide (G-13); or one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title allocated to G-11 or above eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent organizational skills. Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task and to work effectively in a demanding environment.
Duties Description The Program Aide will be assigned to the Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI), Division of Nutrition (DON), reporting to the Health Program Administrator 1. In addition to routine administrative tasks such as ordering supplies; maintaining spreadsheets, etc.. the incumbent will also provide administrative support to BSI staff charged with investigating WIC vendors and WIC participants within NYS, which may include analyzing and inputting data; preparing documents for hearings. Duties may also include supervising subordinate administrative staff.
Additional Comments Full time, permanent. Transfer candidates may be asked for SSN to verify title eligibility.
