Minimum Qualifications Eligible to transfer into this title based on one year of permanent, competitive class service as an Information Technology Specialist 3 Data Communications; or, one year of permanent, competitive class service in a title approved by the Department of Civil Service for transfer under Section 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Examples of eligible titles include: Chief Computer Operator, Information Technology Specialist 3 (Systems Programming), Information Technology Specialist 3, Information Technology Specialist 3 (Database). Duties Description The New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) is seeking candidates for an Information Technology Specialist 3 Data Communications position in the Operations and Monitoring Infrastructure group.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Supervise the Operations and Data Exchange teams responsible for processing jobs through batch scheduling and managed file transfer systems
- Support and integration of the two scheduling systems
- Developing and maintaining policies and procedures.
- Training to bolster support of the security portal hosted by our threat detection vendor to triage, assign, and follow up on alerted incidents.
After hours coverage for scheduling systems support and threat detection security incidents is required.
