Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience qualifications for this class. Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.
Duties Description - Perform routine and unskilled work such as carrying supplies and equipment, cleaning, removing materials from construction sites, preparing surfaces and spreading paint, loading and unloading trucks.
- Duties will include office type work to include but not limited to: filing, storage of boxes of paperwork to cover retention requirements, phone answering, copying and scanning.
- Will be required to operate a personal computer to enter into DEC's MMS and track inventory.
- Must be willing to work outside in adverse condition during the winter to assist with removing snow from sidewalks and applying ice melt to sidewalks as needed. Will perform general grounds maintenance tasks such as clearing sites, raking or mowing lawns as weather permits.
- Will be required to assist with janitorial type work in the Warrensburg Office and Green Island Maintenance Center such as but not limited to window washing, floor polishing, basic cleaning and disinfecting.
Additional Comments Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain, work in remote areas and in adverse weather conditions. Travel, overtime, and overnight travel may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds. Must be on time and flexible with work hours.
This is a temporary, hourly position funded through 3/31/22. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date, which may be prior to date listed. Employees may be asked to work only a 50% schedule. Actual work schedule, duties, and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
