Minimum Qualifications Management Specialist 1 (SG-18):
Eligible for a lateral transfer or eligible for a 70.1 transfer by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title;

OR

Management Specialist Trainee 1 (SG-NS):
Eligible for a lateral transfer or eligible for a 70.1 transfer by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title;

OR

Management Specialist Trainee 2 (SG-NS):
Eligible for a lateral transfer or eligible for a 70.1 transfer by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title;

Duties Description The specific duties of the Management Specialist 1 position include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct internal audits in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF);

• Participate in internal audit entrance and exit conferences;

• Research relevant background and materials, laws, regulations, polices, procedures, prior audit reports, etc.;

• Prepare and organize Internal Audit work papers;

• Prepare written reports (including spreadsheets, charts, tables, etc.) as assigned;

• Represent the Internal Audit Unit at meetings with OTDA management and attend meetings within the unit;

• Work with the Internal Audit staff to identify areas of risk in OTDA operations;

• Provide relevant comments to the Internal Audit staff on audit matters;

• Attend external audit entrance and exit conferences;

• Arrange and facilitate meetings between external auditors and OTDA program areas;

• Facilitate the exchange of audit documents between external auditors and OTDA program areas; and

• Proactively monitor deadlines for OTDA responses to external auditors.

Additional Comments A full-time, permanent appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title. This position requires travel at less than 25%.

Salary for Trainee 1 is: $45,617
Salary for Trainee 2 is: $48,237
