Minimum Qualifications To be considered for appointment, candidates must be reachable from the appropriate Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Duties Description The incumbent will be assigned responsibility for one or more units of the Contract Management Bureau including potentially supervision and training of administrative and/or clerical staff.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Selection of professional firms to provide the Department with consultant engineering services.
• Negotiating the cost aspects of engineering services contracts.
• Acquisition of non-engineering professional services.
• Oversight of civil rights activities related to consultant contracts.
• Acquisition of construction contracts.
• Processing of local and miscellaneous agreements.
• Performing pre-award evaluations of firms proposing to do business with the Department.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the Department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
Additional Comments All State employees in Executive controlled agencies, who are not subject to a mandatory vaccination requirement shall be tested for COVID-19 weekly unless they are fully vaccinated.
