Minimum Qualifications Required
o Bachelor's Degree in a computer related technical field or equivalent experience
o 5+ years of programming experience
o 2+ years of experience in web development using the Microsoft .Net stack
o Knowledge of OOP and common design patterns.
o Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, MVC and SQL
o Knowledge of ORMs such as Entity Framework or Dapper
o Knowledge of JQuery, Javascript, HTML/HTML5 and CSS
o Knowledge of XML, JSON, SOAP and REST web services
o Experience with Github or Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Preferred
o Experience working with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
o Blazor Server / WASM
o SignalR
o Appeon PowerBuilder
Duties Description Under the direction and supervision of the Senior Manager of Information Technology, the Application Developer will work in a team environment developing and supporting applications. As a member of a small team of professionals, the incumbent will have the opportunity to be exposed to and take on other assignments in addition to the primary developer role.
Essential Duties
• Develop, maintain and extend .Net-based web applications
• Contribute to other programming projects and teams
• Application/Framework design
• Ability to mentor other developers on best practices
• Evaluate and influence technological decisions related to application frameworks and dependencies
• Act as a lead for a new application architecture and design
• Actively participate in all phases of the development lifecycle
Additional Comments The New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC), a public benefit corporation, aids local governments, communities, and other eligible applicants throughout New York State to undertake critical water quality infrastructure projects by providing access to low-cost capital, grants, and expert technical assistance.
