Salary RangeFrom $46983 to $57231 Annually
Minimum Qualifications NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as a Program Aide, G-13 or a current NYS employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service in a title allocated to G-11 or higher, and eligible for transfer to Program Aide under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), experience handling confidential information, strong attention to detail, some knowledge of public health insurance programs, federal and state regulations, and a desire to contribute to a team-oriented workplace. The preferred candidate must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and have strong computer skills, including the ability to learn new computer systems and experience using Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
Duties Description The Program Aide will work within the Bureau of Third Party Health Insurance, Medicare Savings Program and Recoveries. The incumbent will navigate and use multiple computer systems used in the Bureau, including NYSoH MAXe, NYSoH Back Office, and eMedNY, to complete various tasks; professionally communicate with bureau staff and other stakeholders on the phone and in writing; prepare documents and emails; work with the bureau liaison for onboarding/offboarding of staff, complete paperwork and follow through on system access requests; update and maintain bureau documents and training materials, such as work instructions, guidance documents, and phone and systems access lists; create payees and payments to be sent to eligible individuals or entities; prepare client notices and repayment agreements; review reports; and analyze information.
