Duties Description The incumbent will assist in the management of statewide aviation system data, aviation reporting through our Airport System Manager (ASM) database, assist with Republic Airport leases, insurance and maintenance compliance, and other administrative functions. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• For Lease Operations at Republic Airport:
o Review lease, insurance and maintenance documents;
o Ensure airport minimum standards compliance data is current for all tenants;
o Create and maintain reports and standards for Republic Airport; and
o Coordinate with Legal on lease issues.
• ASM Database and Inventory Updates:
o Extract data from a relational database, using Excel tools to prepare data sets;
o Create spreadsheets, pivot tables for request and reporting purposes;
o Prepare tables, graphs, written reports to summarize research results and analyze trends relating to grant awards, transportation, and economic trends; and
o Maintain and evaluate the inventory of the New York State’s General Aviation (GA) facilities, both public-use and private-use.
• Aviation Security and Information Services
o Distribute, collect, review and certify applications for New York State Airport Registration Renewal and Security Plans for the state’s 530 GA Airports;
o Provide external technical assistance to grantees on grant management requirements;
o Provide data collection and compilation for State Airport System Plan;
o Examine master plans/airport layout plans to identify missing or outdated information;
o Report on statewide enplanements; and
o Aviation web and GIS management.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
Additional Comments All State employees in Executive controlled agencies, who are not subject to a
mandatory vaccination requirement shall be tested for COVID-19 weekly unless they
